The Center for Faculty Excellence supports faculty development in Teaching and Learning through two travel support programs:

1. Teaching and Learning Travel Grant: The CFE will support a limited number of individuals each semester with travel funds of up to $600 per trip to attend panel sessions or workshops on Teaching and Learning at discipline-specific academic conferences.  Fulltime faculty can receive travel funds once each semester.

2. New Faculty Travel Grant: The CFE will support a limited number of new faculty to give academic presentations that draw from work in the New Faculty Seminar Series. The CFE will support travel to approved conferences with travel funds up to $1000. Faculty can receive travel funds once each semester.

Process:

1. Complete the application below. The CFE will inform you of our decision soon after you apply.
2. Attend the approved conference or panel session.
3. Submit a one-paragraph summary of conference experience to the CFE.
4. The CFE will disburse travel funds up to $600 for the Teaching and Learning Travel Grant and up to $1000 for the New Faculty Travel Grant.

Outcomes:

This project will encourage faculty to enhance course design and improve student learning outcomes through attendance at Teaching & Learning, assessment, or course design professional events.
